Yes – I am, I am!
Yesterday, I booked and confirmed my flight from Adelaide to Las Vegas to attend BlogWorldExpo 2008. I knew that there was a possibility of me attending a few weeks ago, but I only managed to finalise my flights yesterday.
So now, I can finally talk about this trip that’s scheduled for next month. The official events will happen between the 19th of September to the 22nd of September.
And, I can’t tell you just how excited I am. I’ve been to Vegas once before. Celebrated my 23rd birthday there (yes – ages ago! 
), with a bunch of people that I didn’t know very well (long story!). It was weird but fun. I wonder what has changed in the last 10 years or so?
Anyway, Vegas is just a backdrop. I’m going there primarily for b5media.com. To meet some of my colleagues – some of them, for the very first time. Yes, it seems incredible that we’ve been working together for the last 3 years and have never seen each other face-to-face. In fact, it will be the first time that fellow b5 co-founders Jeremy Wright, Darren Rowse, and I will be together in one place. I’ve met each of them on separate occasions in the last year or so. But, the three of us have never had the chance to be together just yet.
And, I’m really, really looking forward to meeting a host of other b5media bloggers, channel editors and staff members .
Of course, I’m also there to take in the rest of what the Expo has to offer. Like, attending panels/sessions – plus meeting many other bloggers and web enthusiasts. It was a real shame that I missed BWE last year. I heard a lot of good things about it. So now, it’s great that I’ll get the chance to see what it’s like.
So, if you’re going and would like to meet-up, please let me know. Would love to get together, if at all possible.

Writing of meet-ups, the Adelaide Bloggers & Social Web Media Group is going to meet again this week. It’ll be on Friday, 22nd August 2008, 6-9pm at the Brunswick (207 Gilbert Street). If you can join us, please let us know through the Meet-Up page and/or at the Facebook Event page. We’ve had such great fun during the last couple of meet-ups – and we want to share the joy.
Our local group is really growing. And, it’ll be great if you can be part of it. So, we hope to see you there!

Awesome! As many of us never will make it down to Australia the only chance is to meet you over here, like meeting Darren at SXSW.

What a grand time you are going to have! I can’t believe you will actually be on my side of the pond and I won’t get to meet you. *stumps feet like a child*
One of these days our paths will cross! Until then you will just have to have extra fun and soak up twice the info so you can pass it on to all of us
