After nearly 35 hours of travelling from Toronto to LA to Sydney to Adelaide… I’m finally home. Arrived Sunday afternoon. And, this is part of my welcome home greeting at the Adelaide airport:

Now, I’m back to baby vomit, dirty nappies, Nick Jr and Playhouse Disney on telly, lots of crying and talking, non-stop work and chores… sloppy kisses and tight squeezy hugs. Ahhhh…
Bliss.
How do you know you’re home?

Lol,
Welcome home, Shai. I know I’m home when they stop doing stuff for me and just fall back into expecting me to do it for them.

Welcome Home Shai! Been following your travel update…I’m glad you had a good trip. Its been almost 5 years since I last visited New York and Toronto…it will be good to visit again…but 35 hours is a bit long for the kids =( I’m too chicken to travel without the kids yet…in fact, hubby thinks…I’m the one suffering from separation anxiety with the kids
I know when I’m home when I can relax, be cozy and enjoy my time with my family.

That’s just extra sweet like that dessert we had at the CN tower… I have to go back there and enjoy the view again.
Welcome home!

When I know I have someone waiting for me even just for “baby vomit, dirty nappies, Nick Jr and Playhouse Disney on telly, lots of crying and talking, non-stop work and chores… sloppy kisses and tight squeezy hugs.” Actually, I wouldn’t mind the sloppy kisses and tight squeezy hugs. Sigh.

That is wonderful. I’ve been away from home for 3 weeks now and I almost miss the continuous Playhouse Disney/Nick Jr (almost). Being away is so hard, but thank goodness for video Skype.

Welcome back Shai! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip meeting all the B5-ers! I know I’m home when I walk through the door a see a little tail wagging back and forth about to pounce me and smother me with kisses. As long as I have my pup, I’m at home.

Heather: Thanks. Heh. You’re a saint, that’s why.

notsquare: Yeah… Dinners do always feel homey!
Maricel: Thank you. ‘can’t say I blame you. If this wasn’t a ‘necessary’ trip, I probably wouldn’t have chosen to go either. Especially not on my own. But, it was good in the end.
Robin: Indeed! Do keep me posted with your antics and gimmicks .
Thanks again for everything.
Sasha: The sloppy kisses and tight squeezy hugs are the best parts of it, of course.
Jon: LOL. Yes, Video Skype definitely kept me going. Thanks again for the TGIF drink. And, thanks for dropping by! Hope you’re enjoying the rest of your trip.
Tinsley: Thanks. Sounds like good home fun.
