Top 100 Blogs Lists

Recent link-backs to this blog led me to find two Top 100 Australian Blogs lists: one via Craig Harper’s* Ultimate Aussie Blogroll Top 100 (see sidebar) and the other one via Meg’s The Top 100 Australian Blogs Index.

Yes, I made it to the Top 100 in both lists. And, it’s nice to see folks like Darren, Karen, Sarah, Trevor, and Des, among others on the lists too.

Craig’s list is based on Technorati’s rankings, whilst Meg’s list (a spin-off from Craig’s list) takes Alexa AU and Alexa Global rankings plus Technorati in to account. Both lists will be updated, according to their authors (what a task!).

Looking at these lists reminded me that ShaiCoggins.com is also included in another Top 100 Blogs list - Abe Olandres’s Technorati’s Philippine Top 100 Blogs. Yes, being Filipina-Australian, I ended up being listed in Top 100 Blog lists from the two countries that I’m affiliated with.

Being in top lists isn’t really something that I set out to do when I first started blogging. Strange, really, as I know how competitive I can be. But, yeah, I don’t really feel a massive disappointment if I’m not on someone’s blogroll (but, I’m really appreciative when I am!) - or if I’m not being Dugg, talked about, etc. It’s never been my ambition to be a ‘top blogger’ (nor a ‘powerful’ one ;-)). But, I must say that I’m still pleased to see this kind of affirmation/validation. Heh.

Now, if only I can get in to the Top 100 Blogs List of the Universe. Bleh. Or maybe, I’ll just settle with getting a Wikipedia entry. ;-P
