My stint as a guest blogger over at ProBlogger.net is almost over. Darren’s coming back to Australia.
I’ve been thinking about guest blogging during the past few weeks because of this experience. You see, even though I had guest bloggers on some of my blogs before, it’s the first time I’ve ever tried my hand at it.
So, when Darren posted his Reflections on Guest Blogging, I ended up writing What Makes a Good Guest Blogger?
After writing that entry, I’m now considering what it means to be just a good blogger. Full stop. As in, not just as a guest - but on your own blogs. I mean, is there such a thing as a bad blogger and a good blogger at all? And, if there IS such a thing, then who made the rules?
I’ll mull over this some more and post some thoughts later. In the mean time, I’m curious to know how YOU would define a good and a bad blogger.

The blogs that get me to come back tend to be those that post 3-5 times a week, have a distinct voice/personality, and have thought provoking content. And by thought provoking, I don’t necessarily mean high falutin’ (although that can be fun too), but something that I identify with. Also, I really like it when bloggers take the time to respond to comments.

Good question. It has me thinking…
I know I’ve found a good blogger when I feel like I just had a conversation with that person from reading a post. I also really appreciate great subject lines.
For the record, I think you are a good blogger because when I read your post at ProBlogger I had to click through to see what your blog was all about. I’m hooked.

Lei: Thanks for your input! I’ve written a follow-up on this and I quoted some of the things you mentioned.
Kim: That’s really nice of you to say!
And, it’s good to find you here from ProBlogger. I just visited your scrapbooking blog and I’m definitely bookmarking (’just started to scrapbook seriously recently). And yes, I’ve quoted you in the follow-up blog entry too.
