Thanks, Toni. I've finally finished the Twilight series a few weeks back. I'll share my thoughts on Eclipse and Breaking Dawn next. Not sure if you'd like what I have to say, though! Eeeps.

Thanks for the recommendation, Kari. Will keep an eye out for it. And, yes, good luck with doing your own reviews (and the subject - it sounds like my kind of Uni work ;-)). And yeah, even though I do somewhat like Twilight now, I still can't get in to the whole vampire genre. That's why visiting the YA section of most bookstores nowadays drive me a bit nuts. Too many vampires! But, I AM very much in to YA fantasy. Not always the high fantasy types, but I definitely love the children's/MG/YA demographic as a reader and writer. :-) Anyway, glad you enjoyed the reviews!

Murfomurf - Glad you found at least one of the reviews useful. :-D Yes, I am a YA Fiction fanatic - with just some deviations every now and then. It's a shame you didn't get some guidelines on how to get in to mindfulness. This particular book doesn't really give a lot of instructions. Just some thoughts on the subject. I think there might be other more suitable books that will be more instructional. I'm keeping my eyes open for those too, and will pass on any info. Good luck with it too!

I've got a pile of books I read in the past months I had intended on reviewing, but I only seem to get them done once in a blue moon. Of course now that I am also reading all sorts of children's and YA books for my library media course maybe I will have an easier time with this since we have to keep a reading log.

You are not alone in the Twilight resistance. I have never read one of the books, and I still have little desire too. I don't necessarily dislike the fantasy genre, but I went through the whole vampire book fascination around 2001 and was bored by it. There is a vampire series written locally here, House of Night, that I may venture into just to see the associations with places around the city.

Arriving at Your Own Door is definitely up my alley. I too have major issues even attempting to quiet my mind with the wheels turning so fast. I actually just downloaded a new meditation that I've had some luck with by Kelly Howell called Guided Relaxation (Remastered) on itunes. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the great book reviews Shai ;)

OK- thanks for those reviews! I'm not likely to read most of the YA fiction- although lots of people on Goodreads seem to like it! I was especially interested in your response to the mindfulness book by Kabat-Zinn. I went to see a psychologist who was into mindfulness, but she never really instructed me or enabled me to get into it. I was very willing to give it a go as I also have a madly whizzing mind like yours. However, she just wasn't on my wavelength so I think I'll try through some books- starting with this one! I like to blog some of my book consumption with a mini review but I'm conscious I don't want to spoil the experience for people who haven't read the book yet, so I think they sound a bit contentless! I have to find the right balance.
