As far as I’m aware of, I’ve never been a good flirt.
When I was single, I used to look at other girls who seemed to have perfected the art with disdainful envy. I hated the feeling that they could do it and I couldn’t. It was especially painful to watch crushes be flirted with by other girls… Ack.
Reading popular magazines with articles on how to flirt was never any help. Most of the suggestions were too strange or too liberal for my liking. Besides, when I tried a bit of a more “modern” approach to dating and flirting, I was totally turned off.
If only there was a SIRC’s Guide to Flirting back then! I just found this article today while randomly doing some searches. And, having a natural interest - and being a professional - in human behaviour, I got hooked reading it. Not only is it educational, it’s also very entertaining. It offers useful advice and ideas on the art and science of flirting - including the whys, whos, wheres, whens and hows of flirting. Even after perusing several self-help books and magazines over the years, I don’t think I’ve ever read a better piece on the topic.
Actually, many of the points don’t just relate to actual flirting. They even relate to general good, positive social interactions.
Note to My Husband: You need a license from me to use these flirting tips, okay?

Hi, Alfa. No - for some reason, I haven’t really gotten the chance to read or watch it. It’s definitely on my list though. Especially with that kind of recommendation.
