I must be mad. At the time of writing this, I’ve got 80 posts on this blog. This is post #81. I’m hoping to get to 1,000 posts as soon as possible. At the rate I’m going, it’ll take 3+ years to get there. And, at this time, I think that’s way too long.
So, how do I get to 1,000 posts in the shortest possible time? Blog more, of course. How to blog more needs a longer answer. So, it’s a challenge all right.
This new target is due to my quest to become a better blogger.
The thing is, I would’ve had a lot more than 80 posts if I decided to import all my old blog entries since 1997/8. Probably at least 200 entries would’ve been credited to me. But, I made the conscious decision to leave the past behind on that one and start fresh.
At this time, I’m only targeting 1,000 blog entries here at ShaiCoggins.com. And nope - I’m not counting the art pages (and others in my image galleries).
I’ve got about a dozen other blogs to work with. But, I’m going to go easy on myself and not require a thousand on each blog for now.
What about you? How many blog entries have you got on your blog right now? How many do you get to write within a year? How close are you (or how far ahead are you) to reaching 1,000 blog posts?
If your blog has 1,000 blog entries that can be verified, I’d love to hear from you. I plan to make an ongoing list of blogs with more than 1,000 entries as a way to inspire myself to get there too.

We must have a psychic connection! I had wanted to make 100 posts on the Gen/PH Blog by end of the July but now I don’t know if I’ll make it….
Darn cold and life getting in the way!
I started my personal blog in November 2003 and have over 1000 entries there now.
(BTW, I’m so flattered you mentioned me in your post about favorite blogs.)

I am about half way there at 463 posts. I started in April 2004 and really do not know what it is I am trying to do. I do enjoy writing, and do not always write for other people’s benefits. That I got comments on my one word blog “Crickets” today is very amusing. That and the coffee cup post brought comments too and it was really just me emptying my brain.
