I think social networking sites are interesting, but I've yet to meet anyone interesting nor do many people I know offline belong to them. (They don't understand the point and won't sign up... and people not signing up doesn't really make the project worthwhile.) I guess such sites are worthwhile to people who live in areas where there are a lot of people using the site. The only one I belong to is Friendster.
