Glad you're on the mend - and nice to have you back on the blog ;)

My first 1/12th of 2010 has been pretty good, I passed my PhD transfer (which means I'm now officially registered as a doctoral student) and have been editing my book (slowly!).

I made a list of things I'd like to try to accomplish each month, as my form of new year's resolutions. The list includes: bake something new, do something crafty, go on a 5-mile walk, back-up all my files & my blog.... and I think a couple of other things. I managed everything in January except for the walk (and I did several not-quite-long-enough walks so I don't feel too bad about it - I have a knee injury and walking in the snow proved really hard going).

I'm also working towards my "Before 30" list which I made public on my birthday. Hmm, think that pretty much sums up my year so far!

Glad to hear you are on the mend! And hope you fully recover asap.

Nothing much happening here... I am keeping on top of my new year goals (and have made it to February!). My food diary is complete for a whole month, I think that's the first time I'm ever, and I'm happy with my Friday treat days - they are totally working. I'm having trouble with my back this week unfortunately, but that is my own fault for not preventing it in the first place (have got into the habit of stomach sleeping, which I know is bad for my back), and also for not making an appointment with the osteopath soon enough). It should be resolved by the end of the week though. Work has been very slow, but that makes my other accomplishments all the more amazing, because there is nothing like being bored to get the calorie intake up, and I've resisted. So on the whole, 2010 is a good, if a little slow in some parts, year so far :-)

Hmm, well my plans to get my fitness back are going well and I have had several session on the Wii Fit this month. I bought the new Wii Fit disc as I was bored of the original one and that has spurred on my progress quite nicely. My craft is also going along well as I have a Fringe exhibition to contribute to so that deadline is pushing me along. Daisy's first full day of kindy was completely uneventful (in a good way I mean) and I managed to get the clan to play group for the first time so I think that is going to be easily done too. I think that's about it for my hopes for 2010, other than ignoring the garden until Autumn sets in. Oh actually, one last thing. I am managing to drink more water so far. We'll see how I'm doing at the next monthly check in hey?

Yeah, sometimes things just get in the way of our plans. He he. Like our bedroom ceiling falling in. That's held me up quite a bit this week gone. Hopefully we won't wait too long for it to be fixed and I can get on with my plans, now Nathan is at pre-school. Glad you're feeling better. ;-)
