Last week, it came to my attention that S Studio (ShaiCoggins.com) has been loading very slowly. There were also issues with logging in to the forums, etc. So, as part of my Site Optimisation Plan, I decided to leave ICDSoft.com as my hosting company. It was not an easy decision to make, as I’ve been a loyal customer with them for 6+ years. But, it seems like the performance of the site, etc have declined for me.
In any case, I decided to move to SiteGround, since they offer a free website transfer + I’ve been using their services for the last year with my archived (not-too-active) sites/blogs.
But, any change always come with more issues. You know that thing… the “it always gets worse before it gets better� thing?
Well, it looks like this is one of those situations! Except I don’t know yet when it’s going to get better.
To say that the move hasn’t been smooth is an understatement. In fact, the site is currently unavailable as I write this. Ergh.
The only good thing I can say is that at least they have tech folks who have been responding to my support tickets over the last 24-36 hours.
But yeah, I have yet to see S Studio back in full gear. sigh
In any case, I just thought I’d give you all a heads up on a couple of things, if I can post this (and you can read this).
1) Please hold off on posting comments, forum posts, etc – until I get the all clear that the site is back in action. Otherwise, your posts might just disappear in to oblivion. I’m doing back-ups, but still, you never know. If you want to contact me, please do so via my social networks or by email. Thanks!
2) Due to this, I’m holding off on 52WoC for today. I’ll post the round-up and new task when things around here become stable.
