@Heather – Yeah, pretty much. I guess that’s why I wasn’t feeling too overwhelmed with the idea. It’s fun to be able to do this sort of thing for the kids too. And yep – I just posted the photos and update! Thanks.

@Melissa – Google’s usually my friend for this sort of stuff. But, for some reason, even though I found a handful of tutorials, I couldn’t find a proper pattern (that’s free). So, had to wing it.

That’s what Google is for! There is a whole world of tutorials and free patterns out there so you could easily get some ideas on what direction to take after a bit of web surfing. Good luck.

I have a sewing machine on my wish list. My grandmother was an amazing sewer. She made all seven of her daughters and their children (my cousins) their own quilts.

When she passed away all of us grandkids brought our quilts to drape around the alter area of the church. It was really special I think. I wish I could sew like that!
