Well, there are two reasons why you don't see any: 1) I just moved in to this study so most of my stuff is still in another room. & 2) I *do* have a bookshelf next to the desk. Not necessarily at arm's reach, but definitely quick and easy to get to - especially since my work chair's on wheels! ;-) And yep - my frequently used references will be on that shelf. Wow.
