Online Shopping Crazy

Kids Crafty StuffKids Crafty StuffKids Crafty Stuff

Due to my… er, condition… I haven’t been going out much lately. My daily activities had been restricted within the home a lot – work online, sleep, eat, work online some more, rest, watch a bit of telly, take care of household stuff that I can manage (not much, mind you), and work online again… Well, not necessarily in this order but you get the picture. :-)

I only go out when absolutely necessary. Like, doctor’s appointments and such. Ocassionally, when I’m up to it, I’d go out for an hour for my burger-and-fries fix.

I miss being able to go out and do normal stuff. Like shopping.

So yeah, I’m a bit of a worry nowadays when it comes to virtual shops. When I’m having a break from my work on the web, I sometimes keep my fill of window shopping online. eBay and Amazon usually suffice for this type of activity every few days or so.

But, today? Well, today I blame Karen Cheng for pointing me to Mahar Drygoods. Heh. I even created a wish list there.

It’s just full of drool-worthy goodies for the kids and the kid-at-heart. Creative, inspiring, gorgeous stuff! I’m just loving it.

And, because they accept PayPal and I still have an account with cash in it, well… I’m struggling not to fill my online shopping cart with everything they’ve got that my account can handle. Ha.

So far, I’m managing to exercise a bit of self-control. Maybe I should be emptying PayPal in to my own bank account instead of others’? Dear. Dear. Dear.

Must. Not. Shop.

    Hi Shai,
Yeah, like I need another place I can spend my blogging money! The stuff is really cute, though. I resisted by not even looking at the shipping costs. ;-)

Heather: Hehe. Probably a good idea. :-)

Dexie: Yeah. I know. I recently succumbed to a big scrapbooking shop on eBay. More on this later. ;-)

bea: Thanks. I think. Heh. ;-)

MM: Yes, it is a great way to feed the shopping bug without the hassles of going out, parking, etc. Dangerous, though, because one of the things that stops me from too much shopping when I’m out and about is I get tired and overwhelmed by people in the malls. Online, there’s no such things! :-D

Anyway, thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoy reading this blog. ‘been off to check out your blog too. :-)
