I just don't have the time or the patience to get back into playing regularly and that is a shame I think. Good on you for persisting with it - you will eventually develop the muscle memory to strum those chords without looking/thinking about it and then you can focus on singing along with your playing. My dream (for as long as I can remember) is to live as 'green' a life as possible - reduce, reuse, recycle etc. I've stepped away from that somewhat as my life has been filled with small children but I try to push back into that life as much as I can. One day I will live a home that I own, with solar panels, rainwater tanks, fruit & veg garden, chooks and maybe even a goat. That's my dream. I have an acoustic guitar, copied the dvd Guitar for Dummies from the library, and abruptly quit b/c my fingers went numb for a week after. Not even kidding. I could feel nothing for a week! well, turns out the guitar itself was not set up right, and my fiance has since fixed it, with much cursing and web searches:) Now....I want a bass!
