Off On a Mini Holiday

In less than 12 hours, I’ll be boarding a domestic flight with my little family. It’s sort of an impromptu week-long holiday in Perth and Fremantle (Western Australia) for me, as I’ve only booked and bought my ticket about 24 hours ago. I’m not even packed yet.

I’ve already done some advanced work for my Web Logs site at About.com, as well as for some of my other blogs. I haven’t got any advanced entries prepared for this blog, though. So, I’ll just have to see if I can get the chance to say hello in some Internet Cafe or some other place. If not, I’ll just try to make it up to you all when I get back.

Right now, I’m just looking forward to spending some time resting and relaxing, meeting old some friends and a couple of long-time online/blogging buddies, visiting some of the places I didn’t get to see when I first visited the place 6 months ago, eating food that I can’t easily find here in Adelaide, and just doing stuff that I don’t do on a daily basis.

A bit of change is good sometimes. Scary. But good.

When you visit a new place, what do you like to do? Do you enjoy trying out different types of food? Sightseeing? Just checking out the tourist spots… or finding little known areas?

How do you feel about going away and being offline for a while? Do you ever think about blogging at all when you go on a holiday?

In my case, it’s a bit different. I don’t want to run away from blogging. I want to have more vacations so I can blog more.

How exciting! A just-up-and-go vacation is certainly one of the most adventurous kind to take. I’m sure you’ll have a great time! No worries about missed blogtime: just take notes during the trip and rehash it all upon your return. Include pics!

Zach: ‘not sure about your sources, but Perth certainly has electricity.

Mellie: Yes, it was fun… Thanks!
