Non-Blogging Moments

in Blogging & Bloggers

When I don’t blog as often as I’d like to, there are normally three reasons that contribute to my non-blogging moments:

1) Too busy with life. Chores, work, holiday, activities… But, even at my busiest, I do try to make time to record things as best as I can.

2) Unable to get near a computer or the Internet connection’s down. While this does happen - especially when I travel - it doesn’t happen that often. Thank goodness for that.

3) When my brain becomes a tangle of incoherent thoughts. Or, I get really bogged down with the idea of writing a great entry - and I just end up feeling blocked altogether. The former is difficult to combat. Often, I just try to create lists - like this one - to help me organise my mind. When it comes to the latter - sometimes, it just helps to write anything and to forget the ‘great’ part of blog entries.

What about you? What contributes to your non-blogging moments?

my #1 reason is work. and a close #2 these days is school. plus i prefer to stay away from the PC on weekends.

others are when my life becomes so routinary that there’s nothing exciting to share. or when the news that i have is way too personal that i cant even publish it online.

there’s also a dash of laziness sometimes :p

I rarely have non-blogging moments. I guess it’s primarily because I rarely strive at coherence. I blog about what I would like to at the moment, I blog about anything & everything, in a fashion that only I can probably appreciate. It sounds more or less insane but blogging is my therapy. I have moments when I don’t feel like talking to anyone, but yet I keep “talking” in my blog. Sadly, I’m incoherent at leaving comments as well. :)

Bea: thanks for sharing. I guess those are top reasons for a lot of folks. :)
Jen: Could definitely be a good strategy to be unblocked from blogging! Thanks!
