Hi there...I got hooked by the bug after I grabbed the Hipstamatic app for iphone. I realized I didn't just want the digital version of lo-fi...I wanted to go back completely as well! So now I think I have Camera Addiction Disorder lol. In the last month I've managed to acquire at least 10 cameras that I plan to shoot with, 35mm and medium format. I've outfitted my bag with everything that a lo-fi geek chic needs to get started. Thinking about revisiting those old Polaroid days as well...just waiting to see how the film shakes out in sales first. Your blog is nice!

Hi, Kari. Yes, bring on the original. I also considered the Pogo, but I'm not quite convinced yet that it's what I'm after at the moment. I really like the retro look of real low-fi photos. Not sure if Polaroid's Pogo will create similar effects. In any case, the Fuji Instax is as good as for now. :-)

Hi, Melissa. I'm so envious. Sounds like you've got quite a collection there yourself. Yes, I know some people really question my sanity for trying "ugly photography" again. But, I'm really enjoying it at the moment. I'm looking forward to more. :-)

I cannot tell you how upset I was back when I first heard they were discontinuing my beloved Poloroids. I used my parent's every chance I got even though one tiny package of film cost $20 a pop! I then felt relieved when I had read somewhere recently (possibly this Impossible Project you spoke of) that the Poloroid camera may be rising from the grave.

In the meantime however to I have been eying the Poloroid Pogo to give me the next best thing. Still - I hope the original makes a comeback!

I have a bunch of old cameras stashed around the place, from an electric blue Ektralite to a gorgeous old box brownie that belonged to someone a few generations ago (maybe Grandpa?) I don't know that I ever want to use them again (I'm not sure they even work) as I am too addicted to the digital film world but they are happy reminders of my photography past and I love accidentally rediscovering them.
