I wonder what you're planning to do your PhD on? I think doing a degree like that is a real major commitment. It depends on what you want to get out of it. However, if it's really something that's gnawing at you, perhaps, it's worth investigating further why - and see if that's what you really, really want to do. It felt like I was reading my experiences, say, 5 years ago. I remembered it was tough, very tough. You know, juggling 2 careers and a young family and keeping sane. Well, I am a little crazy to start with, anyway :P Having 2 older kids now (7 and 11), a happy hubby and a well oiled household (i'd like to think so. lol), i can just look back on those times and thank God for that wonderful time.
