Dandelions always remind me of childhood. How I used to pick them and blow the spores in to the wind. Making wishes, for every spore.
I don’t know if that was something I learned from someone. Or, if it was something that I made up.
Anyway, even now as an adult, I still get the urge to pick dandelions and to make wishes. And right now, I have a massive wish list that can use up a bunch of dandelions easily.
Other than world peace, protection from recession, health for family, friends and yourself… what do you wish for right now?
In any case, here’s a song for you…

Write a Comment»Wow. Thanks for this post. Its made me have a little think, which, after the day I’ve had, is no bad thing! After yet another day is through and before I’ve had the chance to catch up with myself, I find that I wish for something. Appreciation. Its so easy to forget and perhaps miss completely some of the little things in life. A shared smile, A quiet walk, a child learning something new, creating some art of some sort. Slowing down to take a breath is so very important. So for myself, I wish patience. It’s one of my weaker/most overlooked attributes. I find it very easy to be impatient, which when working with children pushes you to the extreme. So working on patience and appriciation of the little things, Lets me have a teeny time out, even if for a minute! I’m finding I am so much more patient these days, learning that Its ok to take my own sweet time
So, yeah, thats a working wish then ….
