Stop second guessing yourself.
Stop trying too hard.
Don’t over think. Don’t over analyze.
It’s going to be all right.
Yes, not everyone will like you. It’s okay. You don’t like everyone anyway. (And that’s okay too.)
You can’t make people like you. They either do or they don’t.
Don’t go looking for trouble, but don’t be afraid to make enemies either.
Know when to stand your ground. Or, when to walk away. And, when to run really really fast.
If you don’t trust in your self and your own gut, who will?
Find inspiration in yourself and in others. Don’t worry about trying to inspire anyone. They’ll either find inspiration in you and what you do - or they won’t.
Inspiration is a byproduct of a life well-lived. It’s not about trying to tell people how to live.
Don’t take yourself too seriously. Laugh at yourself more often. Let other people laugh with you.
Be okay even if people laugh AT you. Laugh with them. Laugh out loud.
You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone.
You don’t need permission to like what you like and to hate what you hate. And, don’t be afraid to let other people know all about it.
Be prepared to be okay even if people don’t agree with you. Learn the art of agreeing to disagree.
You can be angry. Now. Not later, when everything starts to build up.
It’s okay to need someone.
Reach out more often.
Other people want to be reached as much as you do.
Never let the excuse of shyness get in the way.
Don’t fear your own greatness.
Don’t try to be good. Don’t try to be remarkable. JUST BE.
If you’re not making any mistakes, you’re not trying hard enough.
Gratitude is a daily exercise. Find something to be thankful for everyday. Find someone to thank everyday.
Love more.
Create more.
Know when to say enough is enough.
It’s not about looking good and pretty pictures. It’s all about the story.
Sometimes, it’s not about what you say but how you say it.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. Nothing needs to be perfect.
It doesn’t even have to be complete. Like this list.

Hi Shai,
This was a great list. Aren’t lists so satisfying?
Kari: Thank you. I’m glad you found this post useful. I started writing this for myself and thought I’d share it as a way to commit to these things.
Heather: Thanks. Good to know you thought so too. And yes, I love lists. I can go on forever just creating them.

Shai,
So which is it ?
Btw have you read any of Tim Galley’s “Inner Game of (Golf/Tennis/Music) books ?
Mike
Mike: Good question. That’s why they weren’t meant to be inter-related.
And no, I don’t think I’ve read those books.
