This Gocco Print (aka Riso Serigraph) was based on this collage/mixed media piece that I created:
Size: Same as print
Materials: Watercolour Paper, Watercolours, Pen, Pencil, Fabric, Glue, Buttons, Old Music Sheet, Decorative Paper
It’s been sooooo long since I managed to finish an artwork that I’m happy with. And yes, I’m quite pleased with this.
Anyway, here’s my little display of prints:
12 Limited Edition Prints (all signed and numbered [1/12, etc] in pencil, front)
3 stationery pieces (card and paper); 6 art bookmarks
By the way, this print was created over a period of 5 or 6 days at least. Since I’m holding down a full time job and all, I didn’t get to spend a lot of time on it on a day-to-day basis. I ended up just playing around with the print to begin with for about half an hour to an hour here and there. But, I guess there’s no other way to do it right now.
If you want to read about the process of creating this print, you can check out: Gocco Print: Layer by Layer.
Hmmm… now what do I do with all these prints?

Write a Comment»wow! those are really great pieces… i wish i have half of your talent.
I’m certain I know someone who would be happy to take one off your hands
really lovely. Not sure how you manage to find the time, between work and being a mother! I’m looking forward to the day when my hands are free to do some of my own artwork again. You have inspired me, thanks
Hi Shai,
Those are really funky looking. I would normally love the cool tones, but am totally drawn to the top colours. Looks so much fun. I suppose you can just give them as gifts or sell them through etsy.
Lovely, just lovely!
Any chance you’ll be giving away any of those prints?
Congrats for coming up with such creative ideas.
Some interesting artwork there. May I call it art?
I will check this link (Gocco Print: Layer by Layer.) as only I have time
Jo: Thanks! But hey - you have YOUR talents, you wouldn’t want any of mine.

I think it’s not a matter ‘having enough time’ in my case. There’s never enough! But, I’m happy to forego certain things, to make time to do things that I feel are essential to me.

Kari: Really? Do you think they’ll pay for it too? Hehe.
Wonderwebby: Glad to have inspired you.
Heather: Good to know that you like them too! Etsy might be a consideration one day. Just as a hobby or something (or a way to buy new supplies!). Not sure. We’ll see how it goes… But yeah, some family and friends will probably be getting some prints for Christmases/Birthdays. Haha. Although, having said that, I’m always not sure about giving art as pressies - unless I know that they really like what I do.
kathy: Thank you so much! Not sure yet. But, maybe I’ll do some kind of contest here or something. I’ll think about it.
Leon: That’s nice. Thanks.
Rapids: Thank you. Hope you enjoyed it.
