Manila Bulletin, one of the Philippines’ national papers, has a feature about me and my world of blogging over at Blog-O-Rama.
It’s mostly basic stuff… But, if you’re not aware of my roots and some of my personal background, then some things will be news for you. ![]()
One clarification though, I only run one network (not two). But, I have several other blogs/sites.
Anyway, my favourite question in that interview is the last one: In your own opinion, what makes for a successful blogger?
My answer?
There are lots of factors involved in becoming a successful blogger.
A successful blogger…
1) … must blog regularly.
2) … must have great original content, that people would like to read about. Otherwise, the blogger must have a really cool blog that aggregates great content from elsewhere.
3) … has a personality that shines through, even when not blogging about personal matters.
4) … must be reliable and trustworthy (never copy, spread rumours, etc.).
5) …. must know how to develop good relationships online.
6) … Never Gives Up!
Blog-O-Rama is a column by Annalyn S. Jusay (aka “Ajay”).

Why did it take the Pinoy bloggers circle this long to “discover” you when you have been discovered by other bloggers long ago!
Great one, my dear racket queen/guru! hehe Well deserved!

Hmmm… I guess it’s either:
1) I’m hiding too well;
2) I’m not promoting myself well enough; or
3) They just didn’t know where to look and how to find me.
Anyway, thanks again, AnP!

hi Shai,
I stumbled upon this site because of a link from a list sent by About (How do i use Trackback). It’s so great to know what a Pinay like you is doing this (being a contributor to About.Com). Whatever reason you might have (not necessarily for the country), it just makes a Pinoy like me proud.
Keep up and more power!
Regards,
Angelo A.
