If you read some b5media blogs, then you might’ve already heard that we’re holding a one-day training/conference/meet-up day in New York City on the 9th of June (Saturday). So, if you or someone you know is interested in attending, do register your interest as soon as possible.
At the moment, there’s a $100 charge for the day. Early bird registrants get charged $75 only (hey - a $25 savings! :-)).
It will be held at the DoubleTree Metropolitan Hotel (569 Lexington Ave NY). The training/conference part will be held between 10am to 4.30pm. Then, from 7pm (’til late), there will be a Networking Meetup/Bloggers’ Party.
If you can’t make it for the training part, but you’re still keen to join the party, then please do so. At this stage, we’re not sure yet if there’s a fee if you’re a “party-only” participant. We’re still looking in to it. And, if you just want the training part but not the party, that’s okay too. ![]()
And, if you’re wondering if this is for “hardcore” bloggers and/or professional/business bloggers only, the answer is NO. The event will be geared towards bloggers (and those who may not have blogs yet but are interested in starting one perhaps) of every kind. There will be a few sessions to choose from, so it’s all good.
If you’re interested, there are more details at Problogger.
Now, the $1 Million Dollar Question: Will I, Shai, be there?
I’ve already missed the past two official b5 meet-ups (won’t even count the non-official ones) because the first one was held while I was heavily pregnant. The second one happened just after I gave birth. So, there was no way I could travel overseas then.
This time, well… Depending on a few things that still need sorting out, I just might end up meeting my fellow b5ers at last. So, watch this space for updates. ![]()

Hi Shai,
It would be so cool if you could go. Here’s hoping everything works out for you.
