As I promised here, I’ll be posting some updates on how I’m doing with my blogging network.
Well, a month has passed since we had our “soft launch” - and here’s my monthly check-up #1.
Some of the things that I’ve learned so far:
1) I gotta choose carefully who I work with. While more blogs may seem more revenue possibilities, I realise that I only want to work with people I can trust and respect. So, I just have to see how this one evolves.
2) If I have any doubts about something or someone, then it’s just best not to go there.
3) It’s important to keep fellow bloggers happy!
I try to accomodate requests and suggestions to a certain level. I try to stay flexible. I try to respond to each and every email as quickly as possible. And, I think the relationship works well this way.
4) Guidelines are important. Without them, things can get really messy.
5) Never rely on Search Engines alone to help you in your site’s growth. Sometimes, Google isn’t always friendly to newcomers online. Make the most out of word-of-mouth (one of the best way to promote!), directories, registries, forums, email siggys, networking, and such.
I know I’ve got a few more, but I think I’ll just have to post them again another time.
’til then…
