If I can write a tip on how to ruin your own surprise party, my advice will be: Flatly refuse to leave the house no matter what. Heh. ![]()
Seriously, though, I’m sooooo touched and grateful to my friends (w/ input from hubby) who planned this party for weeks. I was surprised. Only the surprise bit had to come earlier - and differently - than planned.
You see, hubby had to spill the beans half an hour before the guests were due to arrive because I was feeling unwell and wanted to stay in bed. So, he had to say something like: “Look, Shai, you really ought to get up NOW. Please get showered and dressed because a lot of people are coming to our house and I know you wouldn’t want to greet them unprepared.”
He was right. And, I was thankful.
I never had a baby shower before. And, I never had a surprise party planned for me ever.
Never mind that I ruined part of that surprise. ![]()
But, yeah… I was really, really pleased. And, I had a fantastic time. It was great to catch up with some people I haven’t seen for a while. And, it was wonderful to know that I’ve got people in my life right now who cares enough to do something so special.
I am humbled.
And, very happy.

Hey, I recognise that top! Hehehe.
I still trying to imagine how it all went. Kuya Jem should’ve caught it on video or something! LOL!

any coming of a baby is a celebration of joy and happiness for the parents and for the rest of friends and family alike…am sure they’d understand if you came down with unkept hair and dishevelled look

Hi dude i was wondering after I saw your pic here. In MBL your pictures aspect ratio is wrong so that you look like a muslim girl wearing a purda

midnightbunny: Thanks. yeah, I think it was a good party.
We did manage to video some of it. But, not the surprise bits.
Anyway, just posted the countdown in another blog entry. Thanks!
Sasha: Hah! Nice and loose, so it was a good maternity top.
Junnie: Hehe. Yeah, I think my hubby must’ve known I’d be too vain to come out looking disheveled. Heh.
Ajith: Huh?!
