I’ve been trying to start creating art again. Anything. Not necessarily something spectacular. I don’t expect great things. Such expectations are very inhibiting to the creative process. My objective right now is just to get my mind thinking about creativity again. To see works get completed. To fill up my visual journals. To pick up my paints and brushes again.
I miss creating. I get cranky when I’m out of the creativity loop for too long. I start to feel lost and strange.
So, the other day, I decided to pick up some materials and just put them together without any planning. I don’t know if there’s a proper word for such a thing, but I called it “intutive collage” just for the heck of it. I enjoyed it. And, I can’t wait to keep doing more. Hopefully, the more I do this, the easier things will get.
Anyway, if you’re interested in doing something like this, I documented the intuitive collage process that I did over at Chrysalis Creativity. Let me know if you try it out!
Hi Shai,
I certainly hope you can continue in your intuitive collages and general creativity. It’s great to know you’re doing something like that again.

Heather: Thanks! Yes, I’m trying to get my hands busy with creating things again. I’m missing the process too much.

Hi Shai,
this is a great idea… I think I will try to come up with my own. I’ve got lots of little pieces leftover from my scrapbook collections. And I think this is a fun thing to do with the kids.
