It’s the start of a new month! Can you believe it’s August already?
Last month, I launched the Everyday Exploration Project. I started off with Memories of Me, delving in to various childhood memories on a daily basis. I lasted 15 days.
Now, I’m ready to start a new challenge. The plan? To do something healthy everyday - from exercise to No Coke Days; from eating more fruits to possibly doing sports. Yes, even spending some time on my Wii Fit will count. Heh.
Everyone who knows me can probably attest that I’m not the most fitness-conscious person in the world. Exercise is something that I know I should do, but never get around to doing. And, while I try to eat a balanced diet, I regularly commit nutrition faux pax.
So, instead of just talking and wishing I can be fitter and healthier, I want to start doing something about it. I’m not jumping on anything big just yet. I intend to stick to baby steps to start with.
This is my first baby step. Making my intention public through this Everyday Exploration project.
Next baby step: Launching the S Studio Fitness Club, in conjunction with this project. That’s the section at the forums where I intend to report my daily fitness progress. Just a way to motivate myself to do this health and fitness thing.
If you want to join me in this particular endeavor (or if you’ve already started doing this some time), do join me at the club. Share your health/fitness goals, as well as your progress. And perhaps, we can all cheer each other on. What do you say?

I say go for it. It is always nice to take a step back and look and see how you can make yourself a better person. I am in the same boat with you on the fitness side of things. Wish you good luck

Thanks, Frank. I do believe that getting fit is important. I’m just sooo lazy about it. I’m not in a level yet that I wish to be, but working on it.
Hope you find your way too!

Your site loaded much faster today. Awesome! I’ve been working on a little fitness of my own. I am bad about exercising, but for a couple of weeks now since being out of physical therapy I have been riding the exercise bike for half an hour each day. It’s all my knee can handle right now until after surgery, but I’m definitely noticing a difference!

Hi, Kari. That’s great to know! I’m so bad too, as you know. But you’re doing a great job. And, here’s wishing you quick recovery & better fitness too. Take care!

Good for you, Shai. I too am trying to consciously incorporate more healthy habits in my every day, one of which is adding more fruits (five a day, they say), and trying to cut down on the sodium and seasoning (i swear, it’s difficult to cook sinigang the old-fashioned way!), and even foregoing my Starbucks (I once couldn’t live without a mocha). And well, I also started a food/fitness diary blog (they say it helps to record everything down) that will remain anonymous until I have achieved my goal.
So onward, comrade.
