The idea of an “Ultimate Things That I Love List” has been something that I’ve been toying with for a while now. But, I find it to be a challenge. I think, I end up liking a lot of things in life – but I’m never sure if I like them enough to say that I really, really, really love them.
Nevertheless, I decided that it’s an exercise that I should try. So, I ended up doing so with the use of an Amazon widget a few weeks ago. And, I posted part of that exercise through this Favourite Things page.
And, some of the things that made it to the list include things like: my Nikon D40x camera, the Macbook, moleskine notebooks, uniball pens, and Les Miserables, among other things. (see longer list on Amazon)
It was a very interesting exercise – choosing some of these things. I don’t think I’ll ever have a “final list” of ultimate things that I love. I think this type of list continues to evolve with time. But, I’d love to be able to come up with a list that feels stronger, more complete – one day. Regardless of their presence on Amazon.
What about you? Do you have a similar list yet? What are the things that made it in there? If you don’t have such a list yet, what do you think will make it to the list should you ever decide to make one?
I haven’t updated my wishlist at Amazon it quite some time, though I have quite a few things I would like to add. I don’t think I have a list of things I love per say, but my amazon store on my blog would be the closest thing to it I suppose. I only put things in there that I either have or would like to have. More than anything it’s just a point of reference.

Hi, Kari. I’m a wishlist addict. But, I’ve never tried putting together a list of things that I own or have owned AND loved so much. That’s why I tried making this list of favourite things.
But yeah, having a point of reference in the blog is cool.

I once had an amazon wishlist but I’ve not updated it for ages and ages. I think I’d have to use Etsy to add to the list as well as amazon though. As for what would make it, well perhaps I should try and make one!

Jen: Oh yes! Please do! Let me know if and when you come up with one.

Hi Shai,
I like the idea of the list, but I think mine would be constantly evolving, too. As we grow and change and as our needs change I think we appreciate different things. Might need to borrow your idea, though.

Heather: Absolutely! And hey – you can definitely borrow the idea. Let me know when you have your list ready to share.

Awesome! I LOVE this idea! I too love making lists of my favourite things/wishlists. I have an astore too — maybe I’ll use/steal your idea to showcase my favourite things too!
And it might just help my hubby when he has to go Christmas shopping for me!
