aka “Making Life Prints One Day at a Time”
In the last couple of months, I’ve been trying to develop “a sense of the everyday” in my life. I’ve been trying to do something on a daily basis – other than eat, sleep, drink, work, spend time with family, etc. While family and work time are significant in our day-to-day lives, I want to be able to do something else that will enable me to make marks every single day.
Something that says, “I’ve been here. I’ve done that.”
So, I tried daily journal writing. Daily photos. Daily doodles.
One thing I am now fully aware of: I suck at doing anything on a daily basis. There are just too many things to do, too many unexpected moments to be ready for…
But, I refuse to give up.
If I can’t do ONE same thing on a daily basis, I’ll just revise my “daily whatever” to do any ONE creative thing on a daily basis. If I can’t commit to a certain act (journalling, doodling, painting, etc) on a daily basis – I just now resolve to do a creative act everyday. No matter how little. One day I might paint, scrapbook, or create new recipes. Another day, I might write, invent new games with my kids, make up new songs and stories…
Part of the challenge is to discover as many ways to be creative in daily life.
And, whatever creative discoveries and experiments that I’d try – I have to record it somehow. In photos. In writing. In videos. In drawings/doodles/sketches/paintings.
Make that mark. Every day.
Like snapshots. Prints. That tell the world I am here. I’m doing this. And that. Daily.
Join me. If you please.

it’s a very nice and wise udea to discover as many ways to be creative in daily life as you can. there is a good phrase, that sounds like “Live through this day as if this day is the last day in your life”
