Bye Bye Twitter (and On Finding Productive Time)

About a month ago, I signed up at Twitter and I added the widget in this blog shortly after. While I did find it a fun tool to play with at the start, eventually, I realised that it just didn’t work for me. I mean, when I last checked my account, it told me that it’s been 14 days since I last posted an update.

14 days is quite a while. And, it made me look like I haven’t done anything else in those 14 days. Heh. :cheese:

Well, other than telling people what I was up to - I just didn’t find any other use for the service. And, since I usually just update stuff on the web, it’s always the same while I’m on the computer (often, just work-related). I can’t be bothered to update anything via phone/mobile on a regular basis.

So, I decided to delete my account today and remove the widget.

This is just one of those things that I have to do right now - especially with a baby on the way and a business to grow). I need to find more productive time. To look for ways to use technology, the web, and other tools that will help me work better and more efficiently. And, if I’m going to use any web tools that aren’t geared to make me more productive, I’d like to have MORE FUN out of them. Twitter just wasn’t doing any of that in my case.

Congrats on the baby! Thanks also for the Rice Bowls Journals bookmark. I tried to login to bookmark you back, but it looks like I signed up for that site when I had Inkspot (forgot my password, but the reminder password was sent to my old Inkspot address).

I’ve written to the admin in hopes that he can help me get back on my account.

I looked at Twitter but am terrified it’ll suck up more of my time. :-)
