Okay, I admit it. There really isn’t much to this post. You can’t possibly go wrong with boiled asparagus – so I can’t exactly post a proper recipe.
Boiling asparagus is simple. Just get a bunch of asparagus. Cut off the ends (not the “flowery bit”). Cut in half, if you wish. Boil some water. Then, add the asparagus. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes (for a “crunchier” feel) – or about 10 minutes (for a “mushier” feel). Then, serve.
Boiled asparagus makes a great side dish – often served with roast meats. Sometimes, I use sauces with it. I’m partial to cheese sauce on boiled asparagus.

I love green asparagus as first course with mayonnaise… white asparagus with vinaigrette!

Hi, Relly. I must admit, I don’t think I’ve ever seen white asparagus before. Yikes.
Any difference with the green variety?
