Well… to tell you the truth, that photo was over 2 years too late in getting posted.
Happy April Fool’s Day!
So sorry. I can’t help it.
You see, I realised that I’ve been blogging for over a decade now – and I’ve never pulled a proper April Fool’s Day joke on my blog/s. That’s why I thought I’d do one this year. No matter how lame. Heh.
Anyway, everyone who knows me knows that a pregnancy announcement is something that I don’t really want to make again for real. I mean, I love my kids. Really, really do! But, two tough pregnancies and deliveries are enough for me. I know people tell me all the time never to say never. But seriously, pregnancy is something that I don’t think my poor body can ever take again. It’s sad, in a way. But, I’m just grateful that I’ve been given two wonderful children to enjoy — even if my body (and mental health!) did suffer a bit to have them.
In any case, what are you doing for April Fool’s?

Cheeky!
I recently became an aunt and now love kids. But, I’m not willing to have one. I like being able to hand it back and not have to constantly worry.
Though I’ve already taken 2000 photos of him during his first 7 months. Its taught me a lot about photography!
Happy April Fools Day!

Hi, Jade. That’s fair enough. Although I love kids, I don’t think everyone should have one. Hehe. In any case, yes, constant practice on such subjects definitely help with photography.

Here’s to keeping those positive tests locked away in a fond stash of memories. I’m with you on lovin’ my kids but two is plenty for me.

Gayla: Absolutely.
Thanks.

Unfortunately I am never the prankster, always the pranked. I have fallen for some really embarrassing tricks over the years and I never learn!
Unlike many other people I know I am looking forward to seeing one more positive pregnancy test. Our family is not quite complete yet (although of course I adore my two kids, they are my life.)

Shai Coggins reply on April 30th, 2009:
Melissa W: LOL. I hardly ever play pranks, but decided to change that this year.
Anyway, it’s great when you know what would make the family “complete” – and you know I totally wish you all the best.

Lol, and to think I was wondering what you were going to say about pregnancy tests, not thinking you were playing a joke that you might be pregnant. He he. Still, it got me to look.
I think it’s cool you know you’re done with having kids. I wasn’t sure for so long, but I love the surprise my little boy was and still brings to my days. I haven’t played any pranks because I tend to think they are more often cruel and just don’t go there. I usually hear at least one on the radio, but our car radio is currently on the blink. have a good one, anyway.

Heather: Hehe. Sorry about that.
I didn’t want cruel pranks, just something silly.
Anyway, I know I had to make the # of kids decision very soon after my first child. It took me a while to decide about having a second one, but knew it was great that we had another one. But yeah – that’s it for now.

Oh wow Shai, you got me on that one! I was all poised to write you a note of congrats and all that! LOL, and here I thought I got through April Fool’s Day this year without anyone pulling anything over on me! Hope all is going well with you. I just discovered this blog of yours and thought I’d poke around and see what you are up to. LOVE the art project. I don’t know how I’d live without creating something every day. Since I left About.com, I have rarely had a day in the past 3 years where I didn’t create something new. I love working in fabric, it feeds my soul. Though I do miss writing too. Well, good to catch up… have a great weekend!

Hey, Dianne. Great to hear from you. And yes, I can totally empathise (about wanting to create something everyday). Anyway, thanks so much for the comment. Wonderful to be in touch!
Take care.
