1) I know I’m too old to write Christmas wish list letters.
2) Yes, I know I’m too old to write to Santa.
3) And, technically, I’m not really allowed to wish for anything this Christmas. After all, I already received my early pressie.
But, here I am anyway, list-writing and wishing, as I can’t help but lust after:
For the D40X:
- Prime lens (a Sigma 30mm f1.4 or a Nikkor 50mm f1.8?).
- SB-600 Flash
- Extra battery
- Remote control
- Macro lens (not sure yet which one)
- Nikkor 70-300 VR lens (maybe)
- Some new digital photography books
- Eye-Fi Card, Wireless 2 GB SD Memory Card
- The speedy arrival of my pre-ordered Nikkor 55-200 VR lens (was told it can take 1-2 months, or more)
For the Macbook:
- iLife Suite ‘08
- Adobe Photoshop CS3
- Corel Painter X
For Arty/Crafty Stuff:
- Scrapbooking materials (I can never have enough!)
- New art books and fiction books (again, never enough)
- Blank canvases
- Acrylic paints
- Craft heat gun
- Beeswax and melting pot
- Cuttlebug (or similar die cutter)
- Zutter Dreamkuts
- Other art materials (did I say never enough?)
Other:
- Skype-enabled phone
- This totally gorgeous handmade lorakeet kimono shrug
- New pair of jeans
- Black leather jacket
P.S. - Maybe I can reserve my wish list for 2008? ![]()
P.P.S. - Yes, yes… I am aware that my wish list is kinda long, so it probably will last far beyond 2008. :-p

Yes. You deserve all these because you were good in 2007.
Sigma Macro lens are the best…you will go far with it…pramis. Merry Christmas to you and the growing family…

Junnie: Hehe. Will you tell Santa?
Anyway, which Sigma Macro do you think will work best with the D40X? Any clues? Have heard all sorts of things about Sigmas, but decided to take the plunge and purchase my first prime lens (the Sigma 30mm f1.4). Will let you know how my experiments with it will go.
