52WoC #33: Holiday Fun Swap

52 Weeks of Blog CommunityShortly after I posted yesterday’s book review, I realised that I’ve got my NaBloPoMo blogging schedule all mixed up. For some reason, I thought yesterday was “review day” (it’s not, it’s scheduled on Thursdays), so I missed 52WoC. Eeeps! So, I’m switching the days and posting 52 Weeks of Blog Community today.

The simple task? Sign up for our first ever 52WoC Swap! Yes, I figured that since the holidays are coming up soon, it might be nice to do a gift exchange or something between 52WoCers. What do you think?

The guidelines:

1) Swap items can be anything, worth $5 and over (but no more than $25). You can be creative with it – handmade or not.

2) Please note that you will need to share your mailing address with me + another 52WoCer as part of this swap. I will never share or sell your information to anyone else.

3) Please do not leave your mailing address in the comment form. We’ll exchange info privately.

4) I will assign swap partners randomly. So, no favouritism. ;-)

5) All swap items must be sent and received by the end of December.

Any other questions that you might have, please just contact me via shaicogginsATgmailDOTcom (change AT to @ and DOT to .).

If you want to take part in this swap/task, just let me know in the comment section (please provide valid email address). Thanks!

Now, on to the round-up for last week’s task – 52WoC #32: NaBloPoMo and NaNoWriMo Time! -

Impressive list, don’t you think? I’m actually pleased to find more folks joining in these events and sharing them here at 52WoC. It’s great. Warm welcome to our new 52WoCers! Hope you’re all doing well with your respective events. ;-)

For me, so far, I’m coping with the daily blogging. But, I feel as though I’m going around in circles with NaNoWriMo. Every time I start something, I end up doing something else the next day. So, my word count doesn’t go up all that much. Yikes.

Oh how fun! With my move and surgery I didn’t get to join in on this last task as my hands are quite full, so I’m looking forward to getting back on the wagon.

I am working on a schedule similar to what you came up with to encourage me to post more regularly, so hopefully I can come up with something productive.

I love holiday exchanges! I am absolutely not going to miss this one! I can’t wait to start brain storming on gifts! Sign this wallflower up :-)

I know I just mailed you my address from a previous party, but I think I sent it to the wrong address so I will get it resent for this challenge.

I’m in! I think international postage here needs to be done by 15 November (this only ensures delivery, it might arrive if I do post later) so I’ll need to think fast. I gave you my address for a prize, but I’m moving house today so I’ll email you the new one :-)

  3. Lynn Stevens says:

    I’m in.

You all were so out of my league for last week’s Na’s tasks.

  4. Ivan Girl says:

ow, too bad! I wasn’t able to post here about joining Nanowrimo and NaBloPoMo. *toinks*

I would love to join with the holiday swap. May I ask how it’s gonna work? Is it my own prerogative to choose my item to be swapped or is it the choice of my co-swapper? *grins*

Apologies for not understanding. I’ve been doing a lot of things lately. :)

Shai Coggins reply on November 19th, 2008:

Hi, Ivan Girl – No worries and no need to apologise. :-) Well, on your question – YOU can choose what you want to give to your swap partner. So, no pressure. ;-) Will contact you more later. And thanks!

  5. Heather says:

Oh fun, swapping. I’ll be in that. You have this email address, so that will be fine. ;-)

  6. Sasha says:

Oh, sounds cool! I want in! Can I?

Shai Coggins reply on November 19th, 2008:

    Sasha: Consider yourself joined. ;-)

  7. I am very much interested to join the swap, but i will be in the Philippines the whole month of December. I might miss a swap sent to me… so can i just share a gift? I’d like to send you one and you can add another one of your choice. I have scheduled all mails to be sent out before i leave on Dec. 3. thanks…

Shai Coggins reply on November 19th, 2008:
